An afternoon of imaging archaeological metal work with Dana Goodburn-Brown
Roman nails from nobnail boots. There are so many!
Dana Goodburn-Brown attended the x-ray room in Canterbury Christ Church University to image some metalwork from a Roman-age excavation. With the help of her staff, and son, Dana had laid each of the items out on cardboard so that we could rapidly image them one-by-one. The exposure factors selected were 70kV and 5mAs.
We managed to get all the finds done within an hour and a half. Exported as JPEGs and DICOM files, ready for viewing.
